This amazing Star of David necklace comes from our latest collection of handcrafted Jewish jewelry. At the heart of a round sterling silver disc a cut out Star of David made of gold. The star of David which also known by its Hebrew name Magen David is the most significant Jewish emblem. The meaning of “Magen David “is protector of David or a shield . According to tradition King David’s warriors used a hexagram shaped shields in battle which drew divine protection upon them.
At the center of the round disc a famous verse is beautifully inscribed in Hebrew: “The LORD bless thee out of Zion; and see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life” (Book of Psalms, Shir Lamaalot, 128:5).
The necklace comes with a black leather string or Sterling silver chain.
